Haha. Everyone loves Michael Phelps!! I've found something online! And it speaks alot of his talents! Here it is:LOL!
Cute!
Olympics is ending sooon. So sad. I am looking forward to the next one in London!
It has been awhile since I last checked out my friends' blogs. Waoowawaaaooo. There're plenty of updates. Of pictures from overseas trips, of exciting plans and of interesting thoughts.. Time to update mine! Unlike most of my peeps, I didn't go overseas during the vacation. Just random walks around the good old island.
-Singapore Garden Festival Exhibition @ Suntec-
Met the Usual 6 (minus Ah Seow who was rushing for his assignment) for the exhibition. Before we met the others, Kai and I met up first. Kai had to meet this unreasonable customer to pass her compensation vouchers so she reached earlier. The two of us went to Cottage for fondue since I was longing to try it.The fondue was okies. I love the Q-ness of the wafer and they have free flow of chocolate! But but.. they only have bananas and green apples. Maybe more variety of fruits would be better. The staff were quite friendly. They initiated small talks and urged us to bring our friends back. Haaa.
- As I am typing, I crave for it again!
Okies, some pictures from the exhibition. Caution, they are blur bcos I used my phone to take.
My favorite flower!! I don't receive daisy often. Only once, in fact. This guy from class called me afew nights from V-day, and asked for my favorite flower. "Daisy", I told him. On V-day, I received a teddy bear holding a small bouquet of daisy. It was really swweeet, I remembered.
I dream of this fantasy wedding; my ideal wedding. It will be on the beach. The groom will dress in white shirt and bermuda, and the bride in white sun dress. No footwear, especially heels (I hate heels! In my opinion, it resembles traditional foot binding). So their bare feet will leave footprints of their love on the sands. There will be lotsa daisy surrounding the couple. The sea will sing their songs of happily ever after. Perfect!
This piece is one of my favorite. The life-sized flowers remained me of a book that my mum brought for us when we were in primary school: Thumbelina. The story is about this tiny girl "born" from flowers. I feel like a little girl too, wandering amidst the flower too!
The photo does not do justice but this piece is spectacular! It is a simple piece but the designers smartly manipulated water and light to create the underwater atmosphere. Creative man!
-Chinatown-Recent discussions about overseas trips with Sister, the girls in school, ZZ, Sherlyn and AJ excite me. I can't wait to explore the other lands. Before I venture overseas, I wish to explore our island! So, a big thank to Sheryln and AJ for their wonderful companion!
Chinatown has so many pretty shop houses. They remind me of the current state of Singapore: the fusion of East and West. It is a pity that those super old shop houses that we went to during our Secondary school excursion are gone. You know, those kinda shop where there is no air con and sufficient lighting. Shelves are overcrowded with products. And the uncle would pull on a tin can pulley to dump the notes and shillings.
